Uh... Hi? [Yuya clears his throat.] I'm Yuya Sakaki. I'm going to be part of the carnival for a while, as an acrobat!

[His enthusiasm falls a little flat, but it's nothing against the Carnival.] Speaking of that--are we really performing in two days? Is anyone else going to stay up to practice?

Do I need to change clothes? [Well, it is a carnival and not a duel arena.]

Yeah, I'm on my way there. Side tent.

[But which side tent, Tamaki...]

[hippocarnival]

[Which side tent indeed.] Left or right? What's it look like?

[puddingemote]

It's just a big tent. To the left of the big top.

[hippocarnival]

I--think I see it? I'm on my way!

[On his way and immediately poking his head into the tent to look around.]

[puddingemote]

[And he's found it! Tamaki waves from where he's up in the silks, before dropping out of them to land on the net below. He's not really supposed to do that, but it's a faster way down, and at least there are enchantments up to catch people too, if need be.]

Hey. Are you the new acrobat?

[hippocarnival]

[So that's what he meant by silks--Yuya grins and waves, picking up the pace as he approaches Tamaki.] Yeah! That's me, Yuya. I don't think I got your name before, but you're the one I talked to right?

[puddingemote]

Yeah. I'm Tamaki.

[He rolls over and drops off the net to stand on the ground in front of Yuya.]

You don't have a routine, but do you know what you're supposed to do?

[hippocarnival]

Balancing and jumping on things, right? It's a lot like the tricks I do during my entertainment dueling. I think I'm just doing a small act since I'm new.

[puddingemote]

Entertainment dueling? [Is that like a dance-off? Tamaki's definitely curious.]

[hippocarnival]

Yeah! It's--[Hm, how does he explain it.] You wouldn't happen to be familiar with duel monsters, would you?

[puddingemote]

No. [Welp.]

[hippocarnival]

It's a card game! You summon monsters to fight, and there's spell and trap cards that change the field, make monsters stronger or weaker... they're strategy!

[He points to himself.] Where I'm from we have action duels, with spell cards that can save you in a pinch if you can get them. That's where I learned this stuff.

[puddingemote]

Ah, that sounds cool!

[Like a puzzle game on his phone! He wonders if there's a gacha.]

Do you try to get rare cards?

[hippocarnival]

Some people do. I like getting rare cards, but I don't care if it's not. The common cards are just as useful!

[puddingemote]

Mm... I don't like getting common cards.

[But his games are a completely different thing.]

So do you want to show me what you can do?

[hippocarnival]

Yeah, sure! [He takes a few steps back and shows Tamaki some basic acrobatic tricks. Balance, cartwheels, flips--only a handful to give him the idea that he's got basic acrobatics down.]
