sarcaskick: (UUUUUUUUUUUUGH)

B1, Day 2 [ public ]

So... ripped from my homeworld, semi-brainwashed by some prince guy, now I work in a circus, blah blah blah. I can roll with it. So, what now? We just sit around and wait for the next show, or disaster, or whatever?

[ There's a long, weary, blatantly over-dramatic sigh, as though the thought is the single most painful thing in the world for him. As if some major event hadn't just come to a close that people might still be reeling from. Not his problem, he's bored now. ]

I hate waiting. How's a guy supposed to get his kicks around here? Someone, be my knight in shining armor and save me from the shackles of boredom. I'm dying, here!

[ You would think someone trying to make a good first impression might offer to help, or present himself politely, or at least you know say his freaking name, but.

Well.

He ain't much on making good impressions. ]

Don't keep me waiting.

It isn't.

You've nineteen questions left.
disjunct: (076.)

We definitely do.

[ only one way to find out! ]

If tonight was any indicator... I think so, too.
kingsroads: (small cheeky little smile)

Potentially.

[ you brought this nonsense on yourself, Mercury. ]
kingsroads: (dude are you sure?)

[personal profile] kingsroads 2017-11-14 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
No. You've seventeen questions left.
sunflowerfields: (Just what you mean)

[personal profile] sunflowerfields 2017-11-14 03:37 am (UTC)(link)
[That's exactly what she's going for.]

Our nightrider, our warden, and our stage manager, at least. Do any of them sound familiar to you?
kingsroads: (this won't end well)

[personal profile] kingsroads 2017-11-14 06:19 am (UTC)(link)
Yes it is. [ and based on Strange's slightly put-out tone of voice, he was straight up going to say something like "you CAN technically eat it." ]
brightspot: (u ➛ names)

Have you thought of going exploring? It's a circus, so... By nature it's supposed to be entertaining, right? Even during off-time? There's a lot of interesting people around you can talk to and learn about!

[Of course, "interesting" is subjective, but everyone she's met so far has been interesting to her.]
kingsroads: (maybe we can talk about other things?)

[personal profile] kingsroads 2017-11-15 02:08 pm (UTC)(link)
It can.
kingsroads: (small cheeky little smile)

[personal profile] kingsroads 2017-11-16 12:26 am (UTC)(link)
I'd say so!
kingsroads: (maybe we can talk about other things?)

[personal profile] kingsroads 2017-11-16 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
No! Good guess, though.
spaghettimonster: (Papyrus modestly admits to his strengths) (AFTER ALL I AM VERY GREAT)

The hot new thing is the obstacle course! It's not all that new...

[What, a few months old now? Weeks at the absolute minimum, for all he only discovered it literally today.]

But the hotness is real!

[Because it shoots flames, on the higher difficulty settings.]
brightspot: (guess it's a frame of mind)

[personal profile] brightspot 2017-11-16 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh. I'm... pretty sure I've never been to the circus before, either?

[Though maybe not for lack of interest.]

I think the entertainment is supposed to come from the skill involved, not the likelihood of someone getting hurt...
kingsroads: (your sea beacons suck)

[personal profile] kingsroads 2017-11-17 02:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Good Lord, hold on a second.

No, no, no, no, no and certainly not. You're at...seven more questions, I believe?
spaghettimonster: (DRAMATIC SWOON)

[personal profile] spaghettimonster 2017-11-17 07:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Mmmmm... Maybe a five or six. There's some homespun laser traps, and they're pretty good! And a flashy explosion at one point. But... hardly the lethal risks to deserve the name 'death march'.

[There aren't even any spike pits.]

Minor injuries, really. Moderate if you really flub it!
