I think it's time we start keeping a list of those who's disappeared, been taken, or is otherwise indisposed.

I'll start.

Lauren has been buried in the ground, somewhere, and Steven Universe has been taken by the Rose Queen.

[He says all of this blankly, matter of factly, and there's only the sound of a shaky breath at the very end.]

[He knows his brother did something stupid. He really does know that. But he knows everyone else has done stupid things too, and it's not like talking was getting them anywhere either, other than delaying her. But right now none of that matters, only the fact that his brother is gone, and at this point, he's not even sure if he's alive.]

Just, don't talk about him! It doesn't matter now... You don't have to say it.

You're right. I don't have to say it but if people like your brother haven't learned by now not to openly attack a fae when we weren't in immediate danger, then perhaps others could learn a valuable lesson.

[And he's not entirely innocent in the matter either. Even the Manor had gone poorly for him but he had learned. He came into this carnival as a cocky, overpowered asshole but against fae? Even Tyki knows better and he would normally revel in a challenge like the Rose Queen.]

You can tell people not to attack them without talking about Lauren!!

[He'd definitely object to the not in immediate danger part, anyway, but that's beside the point. Attacking was still stupid, he knows that. He doesn't know why Lauren would do that after he knew that Susan wasn't able to even lay a scratch on the Ringmaster, but now wasn't the time for that.]

It's just, not right, to say that, when he's not even here to s-say anything back. [He finally looks away again then, his anger fading once again.]

They are going to ask anyways, kid. May as well be upfront about it.

[He knows they were in danger. He knows how bad that situation was. Attacking only made it worse. There's silence a little longer and he sighs heavily. It still is just a kid but he's no more short with him than he is with Reira.]

He wouldn't have a say in the matter but fine. I'll keep his name out of it as much as possible. [He's already being punished but hopefully Lauren was someone that learned from this unlike some people.]
