It depends--they are true fae, after all. They might have to change themselves to adapt to some worlds, but for other worlds it's possible they could remain the same.

Of course, the important here is in all likelihood, they can change themselves. We only become fish, digital, et cetera, due to the good graces of the Ringmaster.
