B1, Day 2 [ public ]

So... ripped from my homeworld, semi-brainwashed by some prince guy, now I work in a circus, blah blah blah. I can roll with it. So, what now? We just sit around and wait for the next show, or disaster, or whatever?

[ There's a long, weary, blatantly over-dramatic sigh, as though the thought is the single most painful thing in the world for him. As if some major event hadn't just come to a close that people might still be reeling from. Not his problem, he's bored now. ]

I hate waiting. How's a guy supposed to get his kicks around here? Someone, be my knight in shining armor and save me from the shackles of boredom. I'm dying, here!

[ You would think someone trying to make a good first impression might offer to help, or present himself politely, or at least you know say his freaking name, but.

Well.

He ain't much on making good impressions. ]

Don't keep me waiting.

You would have avenged the death of billions of lives. [ Stretching out, crossing her legs. ] But of course, the Bomb wasn't able to go off without my delicate touch.

I did say I didn't want to kill you. Or really intended to, ever?

We're just on the same level of petty. You broke my bed, I made you think you were about to die.

Imagine iffff... you could predict everything you could ever do, ever, and the reaction to it and how it would go. At first, that sounds great, right? You know just who to go to who will give you 500 dollars easy and never ask for it back under the guise it was for charity. Or you could predict every answer on a test. Predict the next word in every book. Absorb data without any effort at all. You could probably cure cancer. You could probably stop world wars.

You could probably end every misery in the world. You could probably assassinate anyone who would stand in your way. What then, though? You're the big world hero. Everyone obtained peace because of you.

And it's... as predictable in theory as it would be in real life. You never have any real experiences, any reason to learn the emotions you do have, because if you do go along with the plot and scrape your knee and know just what your friend will say to change you for the rest of your life, what is there to change? Nothing.

Having my ability is like having nothing of nothing.

Meeting someone you can't predict reactions from is like-- getting out of the sensory deprivation tank you were locked in, and getting one thing removed. Maybe I'll breathe this time, maybe I'll see this time, maybe I'll hear, smell, feel-- before going back in.

So what I mean to say is...

ONLY A DUMB-ASS MOTHERFUCKER WOULD BELIEVE I'D THROW MYSELF A PITY PARTY OVER HAVING CONTROL OVER EVERYTHING, EVERYWHERE! AT THE SAME TIME, NOT BEING ABLE TO GETS ME ABSOLUTELY FUCKIN' MOLTEN!

[ Calms down immediately. ]

Oh, hot and bothered. That's not even sarcasm-- that's your forté. Someone beating me at my own game and somehow cruising around every possible situation I've planned for gets me more heated than a sauna.

Aw, no trying to surprise me? To get around my Ultimate Analysis, or do you just know that you probably wouldn't be that exciting?
disjunct: (070.)

[personal profile] disjunct 2017-11-13 05:25 am (UTC)(link)
No, I meant more like everything you've surprised me with so far has been your ruthlessness and magic abilities. After that, you're still just a guy. I doubt you have anything that could floor me enough to want to make this R-18.

I can't wait to be bored by anything some guy comes up with that he thinks will surprise me. Ooh, what are you gonna do, big boy? Take over the carnival and write over my contract to something terribly embarrassing? Grab me by the neck with your ~super speed~ and hover right over my face before you laugh in it? Dig your boot into my skirt?

The sarcastic type-- that tells me enough about your 'moves'.

I know you signed up to get away from whatever's happening back in your world. You jumped ship... into indentured servitude! For you, that must be torture, huh?

Simply that it'd be a huge a shame if someone voided your contract.

[ By being able to analyze the exact path to doing so. ]

...

... mmmm, nope, I was going for something different but this is the most boring of all. I already have ten million enemies who'd kill me on sight if they arrived here, I don't want to bore myself by making more. Forget that threat. Or just file it away as something a 'batshit crazy chick' would do along with a million other 'batshit crazy' things. I'm not actually crazy, but who's convincing you, right?

[ Junko gets up, lifts the top bunk he broke with a single leg, and tries to fit them back onto the posts. One is completely knocked out , but the others, especially the two at the back that broke from the weight of the others falling, are at the right height. As she talks, she literally Iron Mans this thing back together with anything useless she can grab from what's near her. ]

I can already see the future where you do it again because it's hilarious to see you ruin my work. Don't.
disjunct: (004.)

[personal profile] disjunct 2017-11-13 05:37 pm (UTC)(link)
[ By now, three of the four posts are fixed sturdier than ever. There's a ton of wood chips on the ground from it shattering, but the last one is coming around. ]

Lying is boring. Why aggrandize yourself when you can actually put in the work?

[ Mercifully, she's less verbal as she wraps up, sturdies, and uses a fork, meat tenderizer, and various kitchen utensils to put that last post into place. ]

There.

[ Tomorrow, he's going to come home to see Junko meticulously took apart the beds again, put the bottom bunk on top and the pink leopard one on the bottom. 'You're not getting that bunk? Horseshit.

For now, she's laying on her bed, errant wood chips and all. ]

What, like 'your family is safe' up until you reveal to them you kicked all of their heads off? I think a lie of omission is better! 'They're mostly intact, but don't worry, I got you!' or 'They've got a bit of a headache from all the trouble, but it's fine, I promise.'

[ She grins to herself at that one. ]

Yeah. You're welcome.

[ She says, knowing what comes tomorrow. ]

[ Suddenly-- ]

Oh, you too?

[ Before rolling over on her side. He's still... not boring. She'll never tell him now because that'll make him think she'll casually invite him to bed. Which she would, though? Just very straightforwardly. "Hey, you wanna bang?" "Finally telling a lie, Junky?" "Lying is boring and I wanna see what those legs can do."

But she is the most dangerous person in her world and he's treating her like trash-- or at least, like she's a loon and being swimmingly sarcastic with her and treating her like how she presents herself is not boring. She likes it. ]

You can have lying, I can have not-lying, we'll see who outfoxes the other in the end.
