He doesn't know how much the cards mean to Childermass (and he doubts he ever will) but this is yet another example of Childermass giving something up or giving up a part of himself to try and protect Strange. Well, if Childermass attempts to do it again, at least Strange has a retort he could use to try and keep Childermass from trying to keep him safe (again). ]
