Umnnnnnhhh....

...What kinds of names do you give birds?

I have....a small one, that's a sparrow...and.... [There is a brief pause.] ...Now I have a really big one, that they called a 'Scarlet Eagle'.

The sparrow likes to sit in my hair, but the eagle can't sit on me, unless I'm laying down. She's too heavy.

People keep asking me what their names are though, and I've never named something before....

....Umn....it's not that I don't like it, it's just sort of weird.

I'd think of the word instead.

Most names are words in a different language. Even mine, actually. "Julien" is a version of Julius, which is either a form of Jupiter, or it's Greek for "soft beard". So that's fun!

Honestly when I think of names for animals I usually think of words, like, translated words, but you've got options.

Soft beard still sounds a little like a name though..!

It's when it's just something like 'strange', that it's weird.

Oh, so maybe combinations like 'bright eyes' or 'light feathers' are better than, uh, 'talon' or 'beak'?

Well, let's try narrowing it down! Some options: words that describe your birds physically, or what they're like. Words that suggest what you want them to be like. Words you like the sound of. With animals it's good to have a name you can shout, too.

Yeah!! [Much better, perfect in fact!] ...But Talon and Beak are the names of things still, so that's sort of okay.

[Um. Wait a minute, what-] ....Wh....

...Why would I want them to be something... [That sounds Very Not Cool.] ....if they want to be one kind of bird, shouldn't they be allowed, as long as it's not a mean one..?

Well, uh, it's going back to people names, but like Victor or Victoria. Victorius, successful. Naming a dog Courage. But maybe more abstract things aren't your fave anyway. It's cool.

...I also knew someone who named their cat Grandma Pepper. Whenever they went home they'd say "I'm going to go see Grandma."

...When I walk, she walks like Tyrannosaurus does... ...If I'm going fast she flies though....

They said she was a 'scarlet eagle', but I guess it's normal somewhere....

[Anyway.] Frisk gave them to me! [It was. Quite alarming, actually, and very unexpected. She's really just glad Frisk was ok getting nothing but two t-shirts and some cookies as their own gift....] ....When I asked the store person later, they said.... ...she's good at delivering things.

[There is a pause.] ....I don't know what I would deliver, but I guess that means if I drop the radio when I'm feeding someone, she could go get help?

[It's probably wiser to train the bird to get her Radio, but alright.]

...She likes the snow I think. [There is another chirp, mostly because said Eagle is very interested in the box making sounds. What Isssssss this-]

So you talked to the store owner? Did you ask about its diet and needs? Owning a pet is a really big responsibility!

[Even if... eagles aren't normally pets. But could he actually get her to return it??]

Yeah. [She's taking this quite casually.] She likes meat! ...Mostly the same kinds of meats we use for the cats as treats. Like rabbits, or squirrels...

...I think rabbits are better though, they're bigger. It's like what we feed to some of the other animals! [Remember Yuuya. She feeds a T-Rex.]

I'm going to ask Ginko if I can use some of the things from enrichment to help... ...but.... ....why would she not have lots of space...

...The Carnival is even bigger than the moon is....

[...More importantly.] Normally, I can help calm something down, but if someone gets really dangerous, I'm supposed to get Ginko, and if I can't get Ginko, I can summon a Duel Monster to distract things until I can.

You can name animals whatever you want. It's more for you than it is for them.

The sparrow is. ...Frisk gave me the eagle, though. [Because it doesn't act dead, Lambert-]

....and that's why I'm stuck though.... ...I've never done this. I don't even know what I like normally, mostly..! [This makes that whole 'for her' thing sort of tricky-and that's without thinking of the way Julien put it, which just makes her all sorts of Upset.

It doesn't have to be deep, just something you'll remember. Since you've got two, make sure they sound different, and they don't sound like commands, if you're planning to train them. That's going to confuse them. [ At least the living one. ]

The big one is already trained, I think... ...When I asked the store lady after, they said she's supposed to deliver messages.

...She can probably deliver more than just letters though... [Hrmn. Different though. That's good to keep in m- wait]
