[He basically gets what Cole is saying, re: titles, but his phrasing is so odd it's amusing. He's never sure how many people grasp the fact that Psionic isn't his given name, but it seems at least Cole gets it.]

Don't tell me Cole is a title.

[It's not long enough first of all.]

[ A combination of creepy telepathy plus Cole having a friend who goes by the Iron Bull helps explain how he guessed.

At the Psionic's statement, however, Cole shakes his head. ]

I'm not really Cole. I thought I was once. But they think of me as Cole, so that's what they call me.

[ Cole's a spirit who had a bit of an identity crisis and got his memories mixed up with a person. He's not the real Cole. He never was and never would be. But he thought he was for a while, so the name stuck. ]

[It seems like the kind of thing that has a more interesting story behind it, but Psi doesn't bother asking. It feels like asking Cole to explain anything is going to be more trouble than it's worth.]

Do you like being called Cole?

[ and thus Psi learns the first thing about getting info about Cole: just fuckin ask Lavellan or Solas. ]

I don't mind. It helps them so it happens.

[ Cole knows it's easier for certain members of the Inquisition to think of him as 'Cole' and not spirit, strange thing, odd boy, inhuman. Ergo, he doesn't mind being called Cole. ]

Do you like being called the Psionic?

[His grin widens into a smug look.]

I do, in fact. I wouldn't keep it if I didn't.

[Which he maybe should have realized meant Cole probably also liked being called 'Cole,' but Cole is a weirdo so whoever knows what the spirit is thinking.]

Titles are important on Alt- uh, where I'm from.

And you are the Psionic because you have psionics. [ Just like how the Iron Bull is the Iron Bull because his horns sort of look like a bull's.

Though come to think of it, Psionic has horns also. And large wings. Large, very nice, wasp sort of looking wings. ]

Did you have the wings before? You could have called yourself the Hornet instead.

[He lets out a loud surprised laugh, startled by the suggestion.]

I'm not the Psionic just because I have psionics. It's because...

[He lets out a huff, thinking of how to explain it.]

It's because I'm the Psionic. I'm the only one in my... group who is.

[And then he frowns again. It's still not quite right.]

I mean there are lots of Psionics who believe in the same message we're trying to get people talking about, but none of them travel with us, so. That's why.

[ That makes sense. Cole nods slightly. He's still a bundle of questions, however, as he asks, ]

Would you still be the Psionic if there was another psionic in your group?

[ Names are an interesting thing and Cole's an inquisitive spirit. The more he learns about why people do the things they do, the better. ]

[He stops to think about that one for a moment.]

It would depend. If they were already well known by another title then it's likely. It also depends on whether they joined before or after me.
