| Has anyone found anything substantial?
Because I've been reading for hours... every day, mind, and all I'm finding is peas.
Just... peas.
And I know there's more.
[Pause.]
We're dozens of eyes, at least some of which are... looking for relevance.
[Shima.]
So if you've found anything to share, it might be faster to combine what we do have, rather than combing over the same things multiple times?
[Listen. No one said he was good at team work.
But if everyone's combing out individual peas and grains in the dirt, then at least combining them might make some sort of passable salad.
Or maybe someone is holding out.] |

| [Around the start of the new performance week, the Ringmaster will light up everyone's radios with an important message. Or, rather, some important musing.]
Hello, this is the Ringmaster speaking. I say that for the benefit of any new arrivals - everyone else surely recognizes my voice, by now. The rest of this may leave you in the dust as it will be touching on some carnival history, but you can may questions if you want to get up to date.
So, I spent a lot of time thinking when the lot of you were busy with that Pillar drama. As most are aware, a couple months ago we went on a mission to retrieve an extremely powerful artifact called the Blue Rose, which we have been using to defend the carnival from faerie threats. Which, seems successful so far, given that Nightshade didn't dare enter the grounds the entire time we were there! A victory, indeed.
It got me thinking, though... the Blue Rose actually comes as a set. As I've explained to a few of you, the Blue Rose is an organism created by the first Queens of Arcadia. Only three artifacts of its kind exist, as far as I know, and I fairly sure that none of them are actually in faerie hands.
So, I thought... what if we were somehow able to get the other two? Not only would that be enough to ward off the Courts completely, it would go a long way to defending us against any of the other nonsense we come across! Perhaps we could even go back to business as usual, for a while...
Anyway, in an attempt to be more forthcoming, I am presenting this idea to you for general 'work shopping' purposes. I know that the Blue Rose was a big hassle to get, but we know so much more now than we did then! I think it's worth a second look. - Tags:!ringmaster, carly nagisa, commander syrlya, foster van denend, ginko, gongenzaka, inquisitor lavellan, jinx, john childermass, joker, jonathan strange, julien delacroix, lambert, papyrus, peridot, renzo shima, rita mordio, solas, tamaki yotsuba, yuya sakaki, zangetsu

| [ With the Ringmaster cutting off the kidnappee’s radios, it seems as good a time as any to use them again -- particularly since some particularly concerning developments have come to light. ]
As you’ve probably heard, some of our people got kidnapped at CY-Ren’s concert. [ If Lambert sounds incredibly reluctant to talk about this, it’s because he is. ] She’s also apparently managed to turn some -- maybe all of them -- into Harbingers like her.
[ Rita, on the other hand, shows no hesitation as she barrels ahead into an explanation. ]
For those not aware, Guardians and Harbingers both draw power from something called a 'Spark'... a physical manifestation of one's greatest passion or desire. For Harbingers, that passion has been inverted and twisted to serve the purpose of the Void... to destroy all living things. In other words, they've been brainwashed, and with their Sparks awakened, they're also incredibly powerful.
And now they’re using those powers to… [ Lambert pauses again. This is the part that sounds really stupid to him: ] … cause trouble around the city. Funny thing is, can’t say we’ve seen CY-Ren around at all. Can’t be a coincidence.
...Right. I don't know what their goal is, but maybe they can tell us, if we manage to recapture them. There has to be a way to get them back to normal, too.
As they are now, they're too strong to take down with normal means, but we have one new tool at our disposal. Through some sort of awakening, some among us are now able to manifest our own Sparks and fight back using the power of Creation. This should give us the edge we need to beat the Harbingers... and CY-Ren.
[ ‘Some sort’ of awakening is one way to put it. To wrap it up before this goes on too long, Lambert finishes: ]
But first we need to know how many of us there actually are. So speak up. That goes for anyone who’s run into the Harbingers too -- if we can figure out their movements or catch one of them, maybe we can figure out what this next ‘concert’ of hers is going to do this time. |
|
| [ The first one to speak is the Ringmaster, sounding a bit guarded and reluctant, like she's not sure if she wants to deliver this message or not. ]
We have... a visitor at the carnival today, who is asking us for assistance. She comes from a group called the Star Guardians, who I've aided in the past, which is why I'm been sought out this time. They have this entire 'saving the universe' style gig going on.
It can be an enormous hassle, however, and I feel like we've had a few too many disasters as of late. So... I'm going to leave this up to you. You can help her as she asks, or you can stay in the safety of the carnival. I won't force your hand, either way. Just know that whatever she asks you to do will be dangerous, even if it's for a good cause.
Here. I'll let her explain herself.
[ The public channel of the radio clicks off and then on again, but there’s a few seconds' pause before anyone starts speaking. The young woman’s voice that comes across the radio won’t be familiar to anyone at the Carnival, but her voice is clear, with only the barest hint of a waver to it. ]
My name is Noa Minette. I’m from this world — from Wismuth — and I’m speaking to you now because I have something to ask you.
[ She takes a breath. ]
Wismuth needs your help. ...I need your help. [ She makes the more honest correction half a beat later, sounding a little more subdued, before she finds the strength in her voice again. ]
I’m a Star Guardian. The Ringmaster said she hadn’t met one in quite a while, and we usually come as a team, but here, it’s just me.
If you’ve seen the posters around the city, you know that CY-Ren is going to be holding a concert. No matter what happens, I have to stop that concert from happening. If not… [ She hesitates. ] I don’t think it’s going to be something this world can recover from. I don’t know exactly what she has planned, but I know it’s something Void's never tried before.
I can’t face CY-Ren, not on my own. I don’t expect people to help without knowing what they’re getting into, so I’ll try to answer what I can. - Tags:!npc, !ringmaster, 9s, cole, foster van denend, gongenzaka, jinx, john childermass, joker, miko nakadai, renzo shima, steven universe, victor nikiforov, yugo, yuya sakaki, yuzu hiiragi

| Hahaha... uh. I don't usually ask for things, but I know swords aren't uncommon here... is there anyone willing and able to teach them?
I'll warn you I'm very stupid, so you'll probably have to beat it into me, but I'll repay your time!
I'll do anything you want... except die.
If that's what you want, you'll have to do it yourself! So don't ask. |

| Months ago, during the Celebration, a few of us got together to talk about and compare the magic from our worlds. Well, it's been a while since then and we've certainly picked up more magicians, so why not revive that little discussion group? [ he's phrasing it as a hypothetical but as Strange keeps barging on, there's nothing hypothetical about it: he is totally reviving that discussion group. ] I've asked around and the smaller festival hall in the building closest to the carnival portal is available for our use. Anyone who's interested should meet there tonight, just after sundown, for an informal gathering to talk about magic. There will be space inside the festival hall and outside in the snow for anyone to demonstrate their techniques. Likewise, anyone who wishes to learn about magic should come and visit as well. [ And there's a bit of a pause like Strange is trying his hardest to choose his words carefully. ] Magicians in the carnival have different types of magic drawing upon different techniques. While one school of thought might seem incomprehensible, another might seem as clear as day. This is a chance for those of us with magic to learn from each other and develop our skills and those of us who wish to learn magic to see what practice would best fit their needs. [ There's a pause, because Strange has no idea how to end this. ] Sound off if you're coming, I suppose. Oh, and can someone bring snacks? ( ooc: this is an ic post about mage club, an idea floated around on the cr meme a while back. I'll put up a mingle log later in the week for the actual meeting itself. as for this post, feel free to threadjack around! ) - Tags:commander syrlya, five, foster van denend, inquisitor lavellan, john childermass, jonathan strange, papyrus, peridot, rin okumura, rita mordio, sans, solas, susan, tamaki yotsuba, tyki mikk, zangetsu

| [ Sans is blue.] [ Lambert is dark red.] ( [ Supervisors’ Channel ] )[ Public Channel ][ Lambert’s voice is terse, and irritable: ]Our next stop’s called Heartstone Manor. We’re going to go over some ground rules to make everyone's life, especially mine, a lot easier.[Sans is also here.]The RM has already covered a lot of this in her announcement, but it is officially our jobs to make sure that it sinks in. Dealt with True Fae before? Then you know this isn’t a joke. Yes, your fashion sense and table etiquette are now a matter of life and death. This is me, Sans, telling you to take this seriously. Hopefully that means something to you.
To summarize the gist of what was said, here are some basic RULES. The Nightrider and I will be watching. So, even if the Prince doesn’t catch you, we will.[Sans recites “The Rules” like he’s just whipped out a pair of reading glasses and is quoting them from an official document:]DO:- Follow the daily schedule
- Follow dress code
- Be polite to The Prince and his servants
- Keep your radio on you
DON’T:- Whine about everything
- Seed rebellion or talk about rules breaking on the network
- Make any deals or promises to other fae servants
- Lay any hard disses on The Prince, ever, under any circumstances
- Don’t sweat the small stuff: this is gunna grate on a lot of us, so just focus on the end goal… which is not dying

| So... how many people here are comfortable with casual sex? I'm asking explicitly about people who might be interested right now, to be clear.
[For something out of Foster's mouth, it's pretty well censored, honestly; he's spent a long time fighting with the urge to do this.]
