[PUBLIC CHANNEL] DAY 51

Has anyone found anything substantial?

Because I've been reading for hours... every day, mind, and all I'm finding is peas.

Just... peas.

And I know there's more.

[Pause.]

We're dozens of eyes, at least some of which are... looking for relevance.

[Shima.]

So if you've found anything to share, it might be faster to combine what we do have, rather than combing over the same things multiple times?

[Listen. No one said he was good at team work.

But if everyone's combing out individual peas and grains in the dirt, then at least combining them might make some sort of passable salad.

Or maybe someone is holding out.

Hahhhhh...

I mean, I told you what I had, right?

'A soul is both the Light and the Shadow it casts. Good and Evil are inextricable, they thought. ...They are one in the same.'....

... Mnnhh...which is vague enough on it's own but...

'When even the Light invites Darkness, they must both be found unworthy. The mortal soul would be purged, only purified by yielding to a new and better form...

That's not helpful, that's just scary..!!

.......

Like.

Actual peas?
moonfang: (???)

Oh. [he sounds ever so slightly disappointed]

Cause I was like.

"Where are these books that produce food?"

Though I think the phrase is "peanuts", not peas. Maybe?

For once, Foster has a point. Any information already obtained should be shared whether or whether not anyone actually listens.

[And he knows he's referencing himself here but it is vital for any progression. Being an information gatherer at homes, he knows even the smallest pawn or information can turn the tide.] As I have mentioned before I have information on a 'Mother of Invention' but I don't think it has anything in mind of the goal we are looking for.

That being said, information that even remotely seems interesting should be shared. It may not make sense at first but it could be useful in the long run. Sometimes information does not seem worth it until other more straight forward things are clarified.

I was ATTACKED by NINJAS.

[Worst. Library. Ever.]

Call me curious. What's this 'Mother of Invention'?

Good day, Miss Mordio. [He knows her voice now.]

It speaks of her as a 'marvel in of herself.' As one of the Winter Court, she sought to rise above her weakness to iron. She put a lot of years, 'eons' it says, into looking for the answer to this problem in order to 'make the Court of Winter truly undying.' I still have the book in my possession as I make sure to pick it back up every morning.
anti_nonsense: (I REALLY wonder about you.)

[personal profile] anti_nonsense 2018-05-06 07:43 am (UTC)(link)
A way to counter their weakness to iron...? Is that even possible?

[It's plausible, she has to admit, but the idea of a fae court getting that kind of protection doesn't sit well with Rita. There's some tension in her voice when she continues.]

I'd like to get a look at that text, or even a copy.

Even if it isn't, a will that strong to do so is just as deadly. From my early conversation with Strange, I learned that she used several of her own to experiment on. If anyone is able to do this, it would be her. Spending eons on any goal especially that determined seems like a future possibility.

[He hums in thought and it is hard to read body language or voice over the radio. He himself would not like for fae to not have any weaknesses.]

Of course. Find one of my Tease, the purple butterflies, if you give up looking for me or I can meet you somewhere.

I've found substance... about entirely the wrong monarchs! We already know about the Prince.

And, I didn't know this about Asgore, but I don't think I needed to?

Even I am surprised, Foster.

[He doesn't expect it to last long.]

Don't worry. I don't think many here take me seriously unless we're in the thick of more heated situations.
spaghettimonster: (I AM A MOST EXCELLENT LISTENER!)

The King of all Monsters!

Well, the old King. Of all the underground monsters, back home.

Completely unrelated to all this miracle business, I'm sure! If he had that kind of power... The Barrier would have been a piece of cake. Maybe even the edible sort!

[Who knows with fae powers, right?]
spaghettimonster: (KING PAPYRUS)

[personal profile] spaghettimonster 2018-05-06 11:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh? I guess it hasn't come up...

[It helps that they're on the radio, instead of in person; Papyrus can scratch at his crystal crown without giving anything away. He remember Gongenzaka's surprise about it all... and maybe it's easier not to bring that part up.]

We've had... at least two underground kings! Probably more, before we were underground. But there was a big war. And the humans trapped the monsters in a cave, behind a magic barrier.

I am afraid my search has been equally fruitless so far. I can't imagine how long trying to sift through every book in a library of this size is going to take...

[Sure, they could spend a few contracts digging up information, but how many people here are going to be able to stand that?]
anti_nonsense: (Sorry. I don't speak Stupid.)

I'd like to think that if it's taking her eons to succeed, maybe she's not the most effective inventor...

[But if she's got limitless time and ample resources, there's nothing stopping her from succeeding eventually...]

I'll keep an eye out.

[Time passes as Rita continues browsing the library, but it isn't too long before she comes across one of those purple butterflies. She stops and gives it a long stare. That's a 'Tease'...?]
prazerbutterfly: (Tease)

[personal profile] prazerbutterfly 2018-05-08 12:58 am (UTC)(link)
Given Carnival's track record, perhaps we might be ever so lucky. Very well then, Miss Mordio. Enjoy hunting.

[Yes, that's a Tease. It flits there in the air idly as if waiting for instruction, dancing in small circles, and when stared at for too long or spoken to it'll gently start to flit away in the direction of its master.]
anti_nonsense: (I'm sure you'll get to the point someday)

[personal profile] anti_nonsense 2018-05-08 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
So what the hell is a 'Tease', anyway...?

[She just mumbles that as she stares at the creature... or is it a construct? It sure looks magical.

Whatever it is, it starts moving and Rita follows after it.]
