Ignatius showed up... there were about six of us there. He said if one of us offered ourselves into his service, he'd spare the rest. Otherwise, he'd kill us all.

That idiot jumped at the offer. I tried to stop him, but... [She trails off, then scoffs.]

Terrific. Maybe we'll get lucky and all the fae he's signed himself over to will be too busy arguing over who really has a claim to him to do anything.

Hope the Ringmaster's egg spell works across worlds, if it comes to it.

Apparently, he asked the Ringmaster for the ritual a while ago.

... You think that's why he was so eager to volunteer? [It would make sense, logically. But people aren't logical. Signing yourself up for potential torture and brainwashing with the intention of dying while trusting you'll come back... it flies in the face of common sense.]
