I tried to get her away from him but she wasn't having it. Dunno what to do about that. Any suggestions?

[Carly doesn't answer initially, just listening in. She's got her hands plenty full playing offensive defense for others, so unfortunately someone else is going to have to handle this stuff. But she's catching that there might be something...off.]

[His tone is a little dismissive, like he's trying to settle into his usual cadence, but he's still obviously shaken from the tension in his words.]

I did hear him get you to agree to that... [She seems to be attempting some humor- but her tone can't quite get there, and it's not just because of the breathlessness caused by flying around so much.]

...How are you faring, otherwise?

[Careful word choice, that. She doesn't feel he'd appreciate being asked if he's alright on public radio- 'faring' at least caries the idea of...physical status, injuries, etc. And it's talking.

Talking seems like something that will help until Strange gets to him, if at least to keep Sans grounded.]

That's a feeling I know a little too well..! [She laughs- a little too easily, perhaps.] I have all this magic, but it feels like a lot of the time, I haven't made much of a difference...

[The levity in her tone fades.] ...You went against something unexpected, didn't you? ...That's pretty much an ambush on its own.

...It's different from when you have an idea of what's ahead. When you know what's there, you can at least think about how to even the odds, right?
