[There's a crackle, and then a new voice is coming over the radio. She sounds pleasant, and happy to be here, though there's a bit of an edge to it, like she might be stressed out about something.]

Hello, everyone. Since a lot of you are out exploring these islands, I thought this would be the easiest way to introduce myself to those of you I don't know. I'm Elsa. I've been with the Carnival for just a little over two years now, and, well, I'm also your new Treasurer.

[She's gathered that from her meeting with Sans. If Zecora doesn't want to tell her, Elsa won't make her.]

I'm glad. I was worried about everyone, when I heard.

[Though maybe Zecora would have had some company during that, since she suspects Elsa would not have liked it any more than she did.]

[This is the first time she's hearing of that part. The news about the vampires eclipsed any details about it.]

[Yeah, the vampire attack really had put a damper on those memories for most people. Zecora, having not enjoyed it at all, just considered it more unpleasantness.]

[handwringing]

Oh.

[Hedonism and drugs. Lovely.]

That doesn't sound... like something I'd be very interested in. I'm glad I missed it.

[Poor Zecora though.]

[Zecora's point. And she's honestly quite glad to see Elsa again for the simple reason that Elsa understands her outlook better than most people in the carnival do.]

Before we could come back
The vampires launched their attack.

[handwringing]

That's what I heard from Sans. It sounds safe to say they attacked while you were all... distracted.

[Even if she and Zecora aren't interested in that sort of thing, she knows other people at the Carnival definitely would be.]

That party was quite a task.
Each of us had to wear a mask.
Some magic must have been about.
I could not pick the others out.

[Though she had been fairly recognizable. All the mask magic in the world couldn't hide her equine form.]

[handwringing]

...That sounds like some very powerful magic. I wonder who runs that world... a fae, or something else?

[Nothing she'd want to run afoul of.]

A fair question. I cannot say.
I tried to stay out of the way.

[Elsa understands. ]

[handwringing]

[She does indeed.]

I don't blame you. Well, maybe I'll find out one day... it's not really that important.

[There are other things on her list of priorities than what ran the Celebration.]

The Ringmaster might know
And might tell or show
You if you ask.
Though I won't risk the task.

[Zecora is curious and enjoys learning, but the Ringmaster is such a consistent unknown she isn't going to risk the question when the answer is purely academic.]

[Elsa can't help but laugh at little.] Maybe I will one day. But who knows if she'll even tell me the truth.

Better to ask why
She would even lie.

[At least the Ringmaster didn't seem to be the deceitful sort as a rule...]

Fae just have their own way of going about things.

[It's not like she thinks the Ringmaster is malicious. But isn't it normal for fae to stay a bit vague? If anything else out of a disinterest in the subject.]

That is a well-meant
Understatement.

[But by now, Zecora had learned to just accept it and let it go. Nothing else works, after all.]

I have felt the lack
Of you. I'm glad you're back.

[As weird as this place is, the Carnival has been her second home for over two years now.]
