[Unbelievable!!! She can't just run off to check on her own. Lauren was going to check first and he was going to do it better. He grabs his staff before running to the Carnival's entrance.]

He's not at the Gamer's Circle.

I haven't really gone anywhere else...

Except the trailers. But I haven't seen him there, either.

[God. What the hell was happening. He absolutely needed to find his brother ASAP.]

Where does he usually go during the day? Would he have any reason to leave the grounds?

He just messes around! I mean he might have left, but he would have taken someone with him. He would have told me.

If that's true, and no one else has seen him, then we've got to assume he's wandered off on his own. We've got to go look for him right away!

The only place left to look is the Dream Realm.

Don't go by yourself. There's plenty of us here who can help you look. We should let the guards know, too.

I don't even know who all the guards are.

[It's definitely a whine, it makes him sound like a little kid, but he doesn't even notice.]

And I can't just wait around for someone either.

He would have brought Fluff with him and she's here. It's been over an hour, and he was already gone when I woke up. It may have been even longer.

Hm. Did you notice anything else amiss on waking up?

Nothing. I mean. He left his fish bag here, but nothing that would suggest a fight or a struggle.

[It doesn't make sense, there aren't even any tracks to follow. Nothing. His panic is only getting worse as well.]

What if he's in trouble?!

If he is, we'd better start looking now. [ Do something, Lauren, don't just panic! ] Have you checked around the carnival yet?

I've checked everywhere.

[atouts]

Then it sounds like the dream realm is where we'll have to look. I can't promise anything, but I'll head out with the rest, take a look around.

[Lauren nods, understanding that was the most likely place for Susan to be, even if he didn't want to admit it.]

Do you have any magical means of tracking someone?

[atouts]

[ There's a pause. He has to think about it, but... ]

Only if I had a way to know what magic is his magic, I'm afraid.

[It's not super common to hear him curse, but he can't help but let it slip out in this case.]

I can get a direction but, it keeps changing.

[Trails off as he tries to recall whether he's heard that name before hereabouts. Might be inappropriately nonchalant in tone - inappropriately if... he had more context.]

Um. Half elf. Pointy ears... Brown hair? One eyes blue. And he's short?

[This guy has no singular idea what "half elf" would look like, buuut he latches onto what he can!]

I'm sorry to say I don't think I've seen your man, but -- [A peak in pitch on the inflection.] I will keep a lookout for a short pair of odd eyes with pointy ears.

[He still sounds a little too... well, he doesn't sound lax, exactly, or insincere at all, but he doesn't sound like he's... empathizing with any active concern, either, so apologies if this isn't all that helpful on even the most basic support level.]

[Lauren frowns, bothered by Mettaton's tone, though he isn't really sure why. The other worker wasn't saying anything rude, but something about the way he said it was very irritating.]

[He doesn't even want to say it, but well, the other guy had said he'd ring Lauren if he spotted Susan...]

No. He didn't take anything. Not even his familiar.

[ There's a pause as Greg takes a deep breath. ]

He can't have gotten too far. A search party should be able to search the Dreamlands without too much danger, and we'll be able to cover more ground. [ He's saying it as much to calm himself as anything else. ] I'm sure he'll be fine.

[mylastchance]

[It's the most reasonable advice he's gotten yet, but for some reason it makes him even more afraid of what's happened.]

Do you think I can get enough people to help?

I'm sure plenty will help out. People have already responded here, after all. If we keep our heads and organize, we'll find him in no time.

[Yeah, but he's made his fair share of enemies Greg, and he knows it. He tries not to think of a negative outcome. He tries to believe it when Greg says it will be fine, because otherwise he really has no idea what he'll do.]
