For the rest of you, and assuming there are some who are new among you, this is John Childermass. I've been promoted from magician to a supervisory role. If you are in need of something being collected for you that the carnival is currently unable to provide, submit a request through your supervisor.

If you are lacking in one, we can work something else out. [ And here, there's a pause. A very, very short one, but one nonetheless. ] Assuming, of course, that you aren't a blatant troublemaker or asking for anything ridiculous.

Well, this place has a museum full of crap people brought back over the years, and apparently there's all kinds of shit on that island. If you're trading, though, here's a tip: they think a decent coat's better than a busted phone.

[She sighs after a moment.] Guess this means I might get a new roommate soon... Hope they aren't so obnoxious that I start missing the dog.

[And... all things considered, despite being a bit of a creepy old man, Childermass wasn't too bad to have around. They didn't butt heads much, anyway. It'll be annoying if his replacement ends up being someone who seriously clashes with her personality.]

[ And thank God for that daemon, she sounds more sensible than Lambert himself (which is a terrible thing to think, seeing as he's still ignoring his own as much as humanly possible). ]

Perhaps I should be asking your good daemon instead of you. She sounds to be the sharper of the two.

[ Creepy guy, creepy daemon. Makes sense. Childermass... does not actually want to meet that particular bit of outside soul, now that he hears the voice. ]

I feel like I should reiterate no harm a second time just for your daemon. I may not have eyes everywhere, but finding out that a few officers were harmed by a ghost would not be a difficult feat to hear about in a world that fears specters already.

Whatever it is the carnival needs, yes. Stealing is a part of it, I won't try to pretend otherwise.
