Hey, everyone.
[There's a pause, like he's waiting to be sure enough people are listening before he continues. He wants to reach as much of the carnival as possible.] I spoke to Noa, and she explained a little bit more about the Void and the Harbingers to me.
She said she thinks the carnival members can still be saved. I think so, too. The Void makes them think there's nothing worth living for, but we know them and we know that's not true. If we can show them that whay they cared about before still matters, what was to their souls can be purified and the Void won't have them anymore. We think CY-Ren can be saved, too.
I... don't know exactly how to do that. But everyone taken, they have friends here, don't they? If we work together, we can find a way. Maybe we can share what made them happy, what might remind them of who they are or--or how to talk to them? [His voice wavers a little, but not out of lack of confidence in his plan.]
I know they can be reached. It won't be easy, but... I think we should try. I think it's better than just fighting them.
((TREAT THIS AS A MINGLE threadjack each other, this is an open forum of friendship.))

There wasn't a single thing in what you told me about a purification ritual, Foster.
just jumps in here tbh because oh boy
Foster doesn't talk about things the way people normally talk about them. ...It comes out different and weird, so you have to think about it really hard before it makes sense sometimes.
[There is a Pause.] ...I don't think this is a ritual though, it's just talking to people...
no subject
[ About not talking like other people do, at least. 'Different and weird' is putting it lightly. Is there anything Foster can do normally? ]
But if it takes me longer to understand him than it does just finding things out from someone else, that kind of defeats the point, doesn't it?
no subject
...What did Foster say, though? ...Even though he said he said what Yuuya is saying, it doesn't feel like they'd say the same thing....
[Y'know. Since one of them HATES THE OTHER]

Nothing we haven't already learned by now. The world's a Pillar of Creation, holds up the rest of reality, bad stuff happens if we lose. Apparently stole some fancy book out of the Prince's study that talks all about this stuff. Creation, Void. Angel, fae, and demons. Something called the Source. But he also said--
[ And he pitches the cadence of his voice to mimic Foster's: ]
'I can't help because don't understand what she expects of you to begin with.' Guess it didn't have a thing about how to beat it.
no subject
Anyway.] ....'She'?
...If he means Creation I guess...
...That doesn't sound like anything Yuuya said at all. It's definitely not anything like what Yuuya is saying at all. [Time to frown at Foster. FROWN!!]
...
He probably actually doesn't understand, if he said he doesn't, though. People doing things never makes sense, I don't think.
[That's a cold blow kiddo...] ...But I guess I'll just ask him what he said too. [At least she has A Little faith?] Ummm....
.......Even though he said he doesn't understand though, you're probably going to do okay. ...Yuuya's idea worked on other people, so...
[That's as much as she's saying on that, but given Lambert DID get a bit about Zarc..eh, maybe he can piece that out.]

[ He'll let the trailing silence speak for itself. Obviously, whatever Foster knew, it wasn't enough then. ]
Anyway, I guess it's different now.
no subject
I'll go ask him.
[She leaves it at that.]

[A source of pertinent information that isn't filtered through the mouths of idiots!?]
no subject
[ Yup. And since Rita's here anyway-- ]
Foster spent most of the time on the moon reading it.
no subject
...Foster!! [He's still listening, right? He better be.] You have to let me borrow that book!
no subject
....
No.
[He doesn't, and he won't.]
no subject
Wh...
Why the hell not!?
no subject
What reason would I?
[He has no idea who you are or why you want it, and the book is both valuable and personal at this point.
Besides which, at no point has sharing the book or any of its contents with anyone else resulted in benefits at all. In fact, apparently it only makes things worse. And despite doing exactly what he's told, it's his fault?
No. You can't see his book.]
no subject
Let Rita see the book.
[ Lambert snaps, testily. Obviously, this was what he should have done in the first place, but-- ]
Since you're the one who's spent the most time actually reading it, I'm ordering you to work with her.

I told you, Creation is existence, the will for life!

[ Lambert has Had A Week. ]
That tells me what it is. It doesn't tell me what to do with it, or how to use.
TW imaginary violence
Were they really that completely ignorant to everything he's been saying? They asked him and ASKED him and he kept answering and he wants to bash his head against a wall, harder and harder, or maybe let someone smash his skull into it again and again, just something to stop it, or stop him, to split open his--]
I told you several times!
[More than angry or frustrated, he sounds anguished. But those too.]
no subject
[HELLOOOoooOoooOO]
.........Can you tell me? You didn't tell me, and I want to hear what you said.
no subject
[Reira, you can't just--nevermind, you just did.]
no subject
Tell me what you told Lambert, and Syrlya.
They said it didn't make sense, but I want to hear what you said, since it probably actually did. [NOT THAT YOU'RE A LIAR LAMBERT but she's super sure it'll make sense when she hears it Probably]
no subject
[Foster isn't sure what's more disorienting: the fact that he cannot, in fact, recall his words, or Reira's certainty that she'll understand them.
Not that memory lapses are anything new, but... it's different this time. It's...]
I don't... remember the exact words I used. Creation, the Void... they wanted it to be something you could fight. But the Void is inevitable. The finite end to finite power. There is no weakness, only oblivion and the persistence of will against it.
[He sounds moderately disgusted.]
Living, life--existence itself, all of Reality is that power.
A Pillar of Creation... Noa's world is what supports that power, strengthens it against the Void, to keep it whole. But they are finite. Limited. Every one that falls... Creation's strength is lost.
Eventually... hahaha.
[He laughs, unpleasantly.]
I told Syrlya, you can't punch the ocean.
[You can drown or you can swim.]
no subject
Umnh, so basically, Noa fighting 'CY-Ren' is Creation fighting the Void...but I guess that means it's not supposed to lose yet, then.
What happens after things 'end' though? [She asks, admittedly a bit distracted by that matter over asking about what else was potentially said.]
no subject
Why does there have to be an 'after?'
That's the point of the end. There is no 'after.'
no subject
That's not what happens if you 'reset' something.
So, if you know it's definitely the end, then we know, but if there's something else, that's why I'm asking.
