[PUBLIC CHANNEL] RINGMASTER'S SEVENTH ADDRESS (D22)
[With what is probably hilariously ironic timing after Yuya's radio conversation about using friendship to win, the radios will light up green with a message from the Ringmaster. She sounds... a bit disturbed, but playing it cool.]
Hmm. So... public announcement. In case this comes out later. Some of you may not know, but I offer reincarnation services for certain members of the carnival, which... mostly means I will bring them back from death, under certain circumstances.
As it turns out. Sans has managed to to trigger his rebirth ritual... which is to say, he's died somehow. I'm not sure how or precisely when, I have just visited the place where I keep such things, and his candle is lit.
I'm sure he'll fill us all in when he's reborn a while from now! In the meantime, be aware. There's no way of knowing who or what caught up with him. My focus is on defending the carnival, so if you are concerned for your safety, please remain within its grounds.
That is all.

While a body would certainly help...it is the spirit which the spell acts upon!
Indeed- if the body isn't a factor, then differing phsiology shouldn't have this much of an interference, correct? [Don't Assume, you two!]
no subject
[she seems to know an awful lot about this.]
no subject
Either way, you're flat wrong about his soul not being able to persist after death. I have it right here, with me!
Do you want to see?
no subject
You have it? But! How!
no subject
[It's all very straight forward, you see.]
I didn't notice it had arrived at first, but here I found it, burning on its candle as intended.

Come to my office and I'll show you.
radio -> action?
I-I'll be right there, m'am!!
[Fortunately she's still transformed, so she flies over to the Ringmaster as fast as her staff will carry her.]
ACTION
Alphys! Come. Let me show you.
[She leads her way through the tent, out an opening in the back that leads to another tent. Inside, there is an enormous pile of chair-sized egg, of many different colours and metallic/jewel-like textures.]
no subject
W-w-which one is Sans...?
no subject
Well, I haven't fertilized it yet, but... this is the one I'll be using.
[Shes sets her hand on a slightly smaller than average egg with a multi-tinted shell, much like a beetle.]
I'll need his soul first, though.
[She makes a gesture, summoning up what looks like a fancy wooden cabinet from the ground, elegantly framed with vines. She opens the door, revealing several unlit candles, and a blue one burning with a brilliant cyan flame. She cups the flame in her hand, bringing it out for Alphys to see.]
Here he is!
no subject
[A monster SOUL. Right there. How many weeks, how many sleepless night had Alphys spent trying to do this exact thing? And she still failed, and made it so much worse than anyone could have imagined.
Tears are streaming down her face as she realizes she's reaching out to cup the soul in her own hands. She yanks them back.] Uh, s-sorry!
no subject
I assume this is a big deal in your world.
[She would offer to let her touch him, but after a moment of thought that would probably be pretty rude, considering. She looks down at the blue flame, thinking about what she recalls from Sans's experiences.]
It isn't a particularly small feat for me, either. Different worlds function by different rules. What is possible for me may very well be impossible by the normal limitations of your home.
I wouldn't take it personally, if its not what you expected.
no subject
No, no, it's n-not that! I mean, it is, but, oh jeez, there was something I was trying to do, before I came here, a-and...
[Say it. Tell her what you did. She can fix it! All you have to do is tell her!]
...It's n-nothing. S-sorry, I gotta go!
no subject
A-Auuh...perhaps it is not the case for humans where you are from but...indeed, if a human were to die in our own realm they would be quite....Gone.
The Ringmaster's revival is prepared long ahead of time for that reason-it sort of...calls the soul back, rather than letting it go where it would go.
Presumably, keeping such a thing from doing so would include 'keeping it from disappearing in death', would it not?
And given the spell is prepared long ahead of time...
...Would we not have seen any...negative side effects, by now?
[She certainly does seem to know. An odd amount, but they're going to focus on calming her down before...asking about that.]
no subject
[Do humans from other worlds not have determination? That can't be it, because Gongenzaka positively radiates the stuff!]
How f-far in advance are we talking...?
no subject
Given what is occurring here...I would not think that Sans had time to have the spell cast upon him 'recently', either....
I should think at the very least, the latest it could have occurred would have been while we were in Greysol..
[And boy, not that they know, but it was Definitely before that.]
