[SECURITY CHANNEL] D22, Shortly after the Ringmaster's Seventh Address
[Oh this is going to be good. Addressing the department now, is Gongenzaka-whose voice is presently small, squeaky, and more appropriately 'familiar-themed' for his present size. He's accompanied by his Daemon-who sounds far less amusing-which is fortunate, given their message is anything but.]
Greetings, fellows within the Security department, [Gongenzaka announces grimly.] ...As many of you have no doubt heard from the Ringmaster herself, it would seem Sans, the Warden, was recently killed.
Naturally, if you heard this from the Ringmaster's announcement, you also heard that this is a fortunately temporary state-however, it does bring up the matter of the department's state of management in the meantime.
While not officially announced prior this moment, Sans and myself entered a decision not long ago-as of a short time before our arrival within Wismuth, I, the man Gongenzaka, have accepted the role of 'Deputy' to the Warden...
Admittedly, we were...unsure of when the best time to announce this would be... [Though there is an edge to Marishi's tone that implies Gongenzaka was perhaps putting it off, punctuated by a slightly embarassed squeak in the background.] ...However it seems the time is 'now'; we've notified the Ringmaster, naturally. As such...the responsibilities of the Warden will be managed by Noboru and myself, until the time Sans recovers and hatches from his egg.
With any luck, this should not take long-until then, I, the man Gongenzaka, ask that we do our best to continue our duties to the greatest of our ability..!

I am at much as your disposal as to the Nightrider, if there is anything you need me to do in this situation.

All the same, at this point the focus of our efforts should absolutely be protecting the Carnival in the case of those who weren't chosen by Creation; there is a distinct disadvantage in combat otherwise.
Though, with that in mind, given Yuuya's own announcement, finding ways to specifically target and 'restore' the Harbringers formed from our own coworkers is absolutely key..!
A good point.... ...Well. I suppose comparing notes may be in order; what is it that Lambert has you doing at this time?
no subject
He asked me to mind those of the carnival who aren't a Star Guardian or Harbinger of the Void. [It's not hard to imagine how ineffective it's been, as one person trying to keep ears open for disruptive carnies while basically the rest of the nightrunners are Guardians, Harbingers, or coping with Fae-induced PTSD.]
I did speak to Noa while he was recovering. She confirmed that there feasibly should be a way to 'purify' out wayward carnival members, and the way in which they became Harbingers is abnormal. I'm afraid she did not have much more detail than that, however.
wheezes if i just repeated anything from earlier in the thread lemme know
Hmm. This would certainly be where I, the man Gongenzaka, should think focus remains...
It is a good opportunity to gather information on those others then. Yuuya theorized that this abnormality could make that 'purification' easier...
What we need now then, is to determine the ways through which we can purify them. Harbringers desire the end of all things; there is nothing left to live for, [he explains, repeating what he's learned thus far.]
Therefore, while minding the Carnival, we must find what it would take to remind our fellows of that desire to live-what would bring them hope for the world again?
no subject
I'm afraid I do not know any of those taken well enough to say what is abs isn't their reason for living. Perhaps whatever contracts they have made will tell us more?
[Does the Ringmaster just divulge other's contracts or is that personal? This is probably an exceptional situation, anyway...]
no subject
Better to leave such things to those who know them, in this case. We have our own duties as well after all.
Mmm! With that in mind however, if those who do not have the power of a Guardian attempt to speak and 'purify' another, they may need protection-it would be wise to make certain anyone intending to do so is adequately prepared in that regard.
[Just so they don't have a....Repeat, after all.]
no subject
[Whether those numbers are enough for the comparative strength... well, either way he can't sit by and watch someone else from the carnival die.]
no subject
It could as well be 'unexpected', perhaps...which in turn grants a slight advantage as well. If the Harbringers do not expect to face a 'peaceful opposition' from those who are not Guardians, then they will not be ready to defend against it either.
Well, that aside, we know what must be done. Syrlya-we wish you the best of luck on this.
If we hear of anything new concerning the matter of the Guardians and Harbringers, we shall update you immediately.

This hatchin' from eggs thing happen often or somethin'?
[look, she has to ask. She was listening in on those other conversations, and she has Questions, but she's smart enough not to harass the Big Boss™ right now.]
no subject
At least not in this regard...
[There is a cough.] The egg is the result of a revival spell; as a form of insurance and preparation, one can ask the Ringmaster to cast a spell that pulls their soul to her upon death.
She then uses an egg to regrow the body for this soul; Noboru went through such a process....though because of the magical nature no doubt, he came out a little different~!
A...Aaah...
Regardless, it is certainly not a common matter..! Death is not something which occurs often at all here..!
no subject
You went through it?
[ l o o k this isn't possible back home, so this is all very Questionable to her.]
This place is just full of weird crap.
no subject
Indeed-we chose to join with the carnival for the sake of personal training-however, the Ringmaster insisted upon a contract; therefore, insurance was the chosen contract.
As such, when such an incident that did, in fact, end in my own demise occurred... ...I, the man Gongenzaka, was instead revived through the spell. ...it is...the reason for which I bear four legs, currently...
no subject
[He can hear the sigh over the radio. Came back with four legs--this place. At least she had one kid that seemed not only fairly put together but also was willing to share information.]
Well, whatever ya need me to do, just tell me.
[but please, don't give her anything that's too much trouble, that's annoying]

We shall let you know!
we'll say this falls before their inbox thread
[that is so completely not the point here]
LMFAO yes good
....It is a consequence of my present size.
Noboru is currently acting as Yuzu-chan's 'Guardian Familiar' and weapon! It had side effects, unfortunately~
[Marishi, somehow, sounds just as amused.]

He's about half as large as Suzu, actually.
[He's Corgi Sized.]

Looks like you're in charge zhen. Not sure if I should feel sorry for you or laugh.
no subject
You certainly wouldn't be the first to do the latter...
It would be appreciated if neither were to occur.
no subject
Fine fine~. Vell, deputy are zhere any direct orders or shall I zimply stick to zhe carnival und keep an eye on zhe perimeter?
no subject
Rather unfortunately, there is a severe disadvantage between most of those here, and those with the powers of the Void. While we may have a way to reclaim them, the fact remains that not everyone can face the Harbringers.
Protecting those people within the Carnival is key-while the Harbringers will be at a disadvantage if they come here, they will still bear power.
And naturally, there are other fae with their eyes on us-keep watch for a slight woman with violet hair, and somewhat pointed ears-that may in fact be a fae we encountered at the previous concert.
We had notified Sans, of course, as well as the Ringmaster...
But now...
[Though, they doubt it was Nightshade who did this...she seemed,
if anything, to want nothing to do with this mess.]
