[SECURITY CHANNEL] D22, Shortly after the Ringmaster's Seventh Address
[Oh this is going to be good. Addressing the department now, is Gongenzaka-whose voice is presently small, squeaky, and more appropriately 'familiar-themed' for his present size. He's accompanied by his Daemon-who sounds far less amusing-which is fortunate, given their message is anything but.]
Greetings, fellows within the Security department, [Gongenzaka announces grimly.] ...As many of you have no doubt heard from the Ringmaster herself, it would seem Sans, the Warden, was recently killed.
Naturally, if you heard this from the Ringmaster's announcement, you also heard that this is a fortunately temporary state-however, it does bring up the matter of the department's state of management in the meantime.
While not officially announced prior this moment, Sans and myself entered a decision not long ago-as of a short time before our arrival within Wismuth, I, the man Gongenzaka, have accepted the role of 'Deputy' to the Warden...
Admittedly, we were...unsure of when the best time to announce this would be... [Though there is an edge to Marishi's tone that implies Gongenzaka was perhaps putting it off, punctuated by a slightly embarassed squeak in the background.] ...However it seems the time is 'now'; we've notified the Ringmaster, naturally. As such...the responsibilities of the Warden will be managed by Noboru and myself, until the time Sans recovers and hatches from his egg.
With any luck, this should not take long-until then, I, the man Gongenzaka, ask that we do our best to continue our duties to the greatest of our ability..!

He asked me to mind those of the carnival who aren't a Star Guardian or Harbinger of the Void. [It's not hard to imagine how ineffective it's been, as one person trying to keep ears open for disruptive carnies while basically the rest of the nightrunners are Guardians, Harbingers, or coping with Fae-induced PTSD.]
I did speak to Noa while he was recovering. She confirmed that there feasibly should be a way to 'purify' out wayward carnival members, and the way in which they became Harbingers is abnormal. I'm afraid she did not have much more detail than that, however.
wheezes if i just repeated anything from earlier in the thread lemme know
Hmm. This would certainly be where I, the man Gongenzaka, should think focus remains...
It is a good opportunity to gather information on those others then. Yuuya theorized that this abnormality could make that 'purification' easier...
What we need now then, is to determine the ways through which we can purify them. Harbringers desire the end of all things; there is nothing left to live for, [he explains, repeating what he's learned thus far.]
Therefore, while minding the Carnival, we must find what it would take to remind our fellows of that desire to live-what would bring them hope for the world again?

I'm afraid I do not know any of those taken well enough to say what is abs isn't their reason for living. Perhaps whatever contracts they have made will tell us more?
[Does the Ringmaster just divulge other's contracts or is that personal? This is probably an exceptional situation, anyway...]

Better to leave such things to those who know them, in this case. We have our own duties as well after all.
Mmm! With that in mind however, if those who do not have the power of a Guardian attempt to speak and 'purify' another, they may need protection-it would be wise to make certain anyone intending to do so is adequately prepared in that regard.
[Just so they don't have a....Repeat, after all.]

[Whether those numbers are enough for the comparative strength... well, either way he can't sit by and watch someone else from the carnival die.]

It could as well be 'unexpected', perhaps...which in turn grants a slight advantage as well. If the Harbringers do not expect to face a 'peaceful opposition' from those who are not Guardians, then they will not be ready to defend against it either.
Well, that aside, we know what must be done. Syrlya-we wish you the best of luck on this.
If we hear of anything new concerning the matter of the Guardians and Harbringers, we shall update you immediately.
