[He comes to meet her nearly immediately, happy to see more familiar faces in unfamiliar forms. That is, until he actually sees her. He stops short, heart jumping to his throat and making his breath catch.]

It's totally just shock, and she tries to ignore the confusion in lieu of her own excitement, running for Psi.] Yeah-!! Umn...I look really different from before, I guess...

[He's not sure what else to say. The gills inside the gate, regular carnival changes were one thing, but to see her as a sea troll outside, that was something completely different. He forces a smile, trying to push his discomfort aside.]

Yeah-!! I, um.. ..I missed you... [A lot, but it's weird to think about missing someone.

As it is, what with them standing there outside the carnival...Well. Whoop.

And frankly, she's reading Psi like a book right now-which has her cheer...droop. A lot.

You can fake a smile Psi, but if you're honestly uncomfortable that's not going to leave your heart so easily.] Umnhhh... Am I too much the same as from your home..? [She asks, hesitant. It's the main reason she's got-why would someone be uncomfortable if it wasn't too much memory? And after all, she doesn't know what Psiionic USED to look like before Carnival things and...well.]

[Of course she can tell how uneasy he is. She's an empath. He almost slaps his own forehead as he sees her cheer drop. He frowns, squatting down to her level so he can meet her eyes, bright and fuschia though they may be. He knows this isn't really anyone dangerous. It's just Reira.]

I'm sorry. I'm happy to see you, but you remind me of someone else I know like this and it's got me all mixed up.

[He normally wouldn't be so honest, especially not with a child, but this is a child who is a friend, someone who has been through her own share of trauma, so he treats her the same as he would anyone else, maybe even being a little more honest than usual so he can be sure she understands.

After a moment, he gestures for her to come in for a hug, and he wraps his arms around her if she lets him.]

[Admittedly, she still doesn't know what Psii means. Rather innocently perhaps she assumes it's someone he misses-someone who might be long gone, dead, or similar.

And while she's wrong on all accounts, she doesn't present her theory, instead smiling just barely when it seems all is forgiven. Hugs, after all, are good-so while it's with a somewhat slow walk to the other, she gladly takes the hug and returns it.]

Mnh..! Yeah..! ...'m sorry I look like someone else, though... [Not that she could've controlled it, but. She's sorry. That counts for something right?]
