Day 54
[Usually when Peridot speaks up on the network, she's pretty perky and authoritative. NOT THIS TIME. HAHA.]
Ssssso... I don't want to cause a panic or anything, but there's not exactly an easy way for me to break this news to everyone, so I'm just going to come right out and say it:
I may have kind of, sort of... absolutely found proof in the Scribe's collections that the Summer Court is tracking us. And by the Summer Court, I mean specifically the Rose Queen and Ignatius and all their cronies from Portland are tracking us. And they know we have the Blue Rose.
....
Sorry.
...This is Peridot, by the way.

[long pause]
Any idea how good they are at tracking us?

Haven't figured out if running into Nightshade in Wismuth was a coincidence or if she knew we were there to start with. Either way, I wouldn't recommend anyone else get stuck with weird faerie tracking seeds. Wasn't much fun.

[That's the joking part. Now, more serious:]
Stuff in the carnival is usually under the RM's jurisdiction. The times we have been attacked on our home turf, it's 'cause we did something to invite them in.
The vampires followed our Nightrunner team in the first time and left a curse mark in the forest. Which weakened the wards enough that those computer guys could slip in from computer world, through the people they'd infected.
Other than that, we've mostly just been attacked on away missions.

Uh. Well.
Yeah. I guess the RM didn't realize she needed to ward against me in particular.

Think about it this way. What's gunna be harder to get through? A sheer wall, or a wall with a door in it? Magic powers aside.

But a "no" would've been enough. Still, if they get that far, it'll probably be more your problem than mine.

If any fae lodges anything, especially tracking seeds, under someone's skin... Just send them to me for easy removal with little to no pain.

Thanks for the hand, pal.

[Cause this affects him now so he may as well be a team player.]

In short, I can take things out of other things without having to open, cut, or move anything out of the way. So if there were seeds within someone's skin, I could remove it without having to damage the skin further. Same goes for glass, a bullet, a knife. Wires from machinery. So on and so forth.
[Bones from a body. A spine from a skeleton of a person. Brains and organs from a body. The possibilities are endless.] If I can touch it, I can take it.

She sounds unsettled when she replies:] I see. Noted.

He has a hard time gauging tone over the radio but...] Right, right. If you need a demonstration later, I can provide...

[And her radio is blowing up with all these people.]
Give me one second, I'll find the relevant passage...
[There's a pause, and the sound of turning pages, and then she recites impatiently:]
"And so, the Rose Queen was sent to find the reminents of the Blue Rose’s presence with an entourage of the Summer Court’s greatest warriors. It was then that they found the treacherous beast has been slain, his realm torn asunder, and the Blue Rose taken. The realm would soon collapse, and little remained - all except a familiar smell of magic, left by the touch of daylight."
That's what it says.

[He genuinely isn't sure - his memories of the whole thing are a bit confused.]

[Sans you know this stuff better than she does please say no]

[It doesn't sound like something he's entirely sure of, but he's just going to put that out there.]
