So, I'm up. [ Short and to the point. ] Heard people were yelling at my nightrunners. You wanna yell about it some more, you can come yell at me.

[ Talk about an unexpected reaction. Herbert flushing has Lambert raising his eyebrows, but before he can say anything more, he's interrupted by that laughter from outside. Since the tent walls are thin enough, he'll just raise his voice: ]

It's rude to eavesdrop on intimate conversations, you know.

[scientificist]

[He...should have waited until they were back in the Carnival, with solid walls. Herbert's need to get it out of the way outweighed his analysis of the situation.

Holding up a hand for Lambert to Wait, Herbert quickly unzips one of the doors and strides quickly around the tent to where the voice came from, in an attempt to at least discover who has overheard.]

[He responds only after he's done laughing. Thankfully, it doesn't last long and he breathes softly enough to pat his own chest. Sorry Lambert. That was just hilarious to him.]

It's also, just as equally, hard not to hear a conversation when passing by when these tents are so thin. [He's not going to admit to the fact he was or wasn't eavesdropping.]

[ Herbert might have signaled for Lambert to wait, but the witcher is far from an obedient patient, especially now that he's not semi-conscious. He gives Tyki a shitty grin and jaunty little wave from behind the doctor (it's not hard, given Herbert isn't all that statuesque). ]

It's nice to see you too, Tyki.

Do you mind?! [This is directed at Tyki, he doesn't really mind Lambert following. He just wanted to avoid him leaving before he'd had time to ask what he intending to. Now he has to interrupt everything to fuss at Tyki.] Are you here, for something or did you just want to, butt in?

[Only after he addresses Lambert, also returns the wave, will he actually take time to look at Herbert. He does this on purpose naturally because he can. His grin is only widening] Hmm, I believe I was momentarily passing by. You shouldn't be so tense. If I wanted to butt in I would've just entered the tent in general.

Still, can't say I'm disappointed for taking this route.

[ Acquisitions seems to be where all the shady bastards go, for better or worse. All that being said... ]

I was just showing off some witcher magic for Dr. West here. [ He wiggles his fingers demonstratively. ] Care to give it a shot?

[Usually, Herbert does a better job of coping with Tyki but he's already feeling worked up and a little uncomfortably open, so instead he's making faces and huffing and hunching up his wings.]

[Though...he doubts Tyki will take Lambert up on the offer but he wishes he would.]

[As for Lambert's generous offer, he knows the man to be exceedingly crafty and he'll raise a brow with a cheeky grin.] As wonderful as that sounds I believe I'll pass for now. Tired, you know. Plus, having information isn't as good if someone has information on you as well.

[He snorts gently at Herbert and gestures a little cockily.] Come now. If was sneaking around you wouldn't even know I was here.
