I know everybody is pretty busy right now, and possibly more than one person? But, with the Eggspace Dimension being a thing, it made me think... that I have some items and stuff that I don't really need, that maybe someone else here could use more than me?

And, so, I thought maybe everyone could just list off any stuff they have sitting around that they don't want, and we could have a swap meet! Which means we'd trade items, or even just give them away to people in need!

Please join in, if you want to! I'm going to bring my stuff to the lounge near our Shabon rooms, if you want to come. Right now, I have a set of body armor that Connie left behind... it doesn't fit me, but I think you can get it resized, if you need the protection. It's black with minty green lines on it. I don't want anything for it, just tell me if you need it.

Um... I also have, like... a lot of diamonds? If anyone needs those for something. But only if you need it, okay!

Because I don't know how to get rid of them!

Then why did you take them in the first place?

Because they fell off my body.

[She came in here aiming to nail Rose Quartz for some kind of nefarious Diamond-shattering-adjacent bullshit, and Steven is not making it easy??]

Get your story straight, did you find them or did they come from your ridiculous mutant body?

Well - technically they fell off my body, onto the ground, and I found them there, okay?!

[He exhales.]

It was after my arms and legs and stuff got turned into crystal by the Rose Queen. After my real arms and legs grew back... the outer shell just cracked and fell off. And... from what I can tell, the type of crystal it was is diamonds.

[stompadour]

[You can practically hear Jasper narrowing her eyes. It's like the air is being compressed.]

Why would it be diamonds.

[GO ON. SHE WANTS YOU TO SAY IT. THAT IT'S SOME KIND OF KARMIC REMINDER OF YOUR PAST LIFE'S UNFORGIVABLE SINS.]

[TOO BAD JASPER, because that idea has basically never crossed his mind, on account of he's not a TOTAL WEIRDO.]

I don't know! It just... sparkles the way diamonds do. That's what the jewelers said.

[stompadour]

You don't think it might be some kind of expression of guilt?

[These are the kinds of valuable thought processes that have been retained by Jasper's light half!]

I... don't know if faerie changes actually work like that, Jasper.

[Even if he did feel personally guilty for it, as opposed to mostly being frustrated by his mom being enigmatic and controversial.]

What? [She sounds like this idea genuinely has not occurred to her.] Why wouldn't they?

Why... would they?

[He sounds just as confused. He's pretty sure the changes have stuff to do with what a person is already like, but wouldn't working off guilt and stuff be awfully specific?]

Well... it would just make sense.

[starseedling]

Maybe? But I don't feel guilty for killing any diamonds, so that wouldn't be how it works with me, anyway...

[stompadour]

Hmph. Of course you don't. I shouldn't have expected anything different.

But you're a quartz. Why would you be making diamonds if it didn't have anything to do with the one your 'predecessor' shattered?

[starseedling]

I don't know... that's why it's kind of weird.

I guess something the Blue Rose did to me made my gems turn into diamonds.

[stompadour]

Your gems--?

That doesn't make any sense!

[IF SOMEONE'S GEMS CAN JUST CHANGE TO A DIFFERENT KIND OF GEM THAT'S FRANKLY UNHOLY]

It sure doesn't! Which is why I didn't really want to talk about it.

[stompadour]

[Well, she can hardly do anything with that. There's a pause, and then Jasper huffs.]

It's probably not really diamond. I wouldn't trust anyone who's not a gem to judge that.
