[ Now that a day's gone by with nobody trying to put a hit on the Ringmaster, it's the PERFECT time to ask his creepy questions. ]

How many of you have died before, whether on your world or at the Carnival? You don't have to answer if you don't want to, I understand this might be a sore subject for some.

And if you have died, how were you brought back to life? Please try to be as detailed in your answer as possible.

[ just asked like no big deal, there's nothing weird about asking how people died in the slightest. c: ]

Died? That's silly, people can't come back from the dead.

...Can they?

Of course they can! There's plenty of ways to bring the dead back to life. I can name two of them off the top of my head: black magic and whatever sort of faerie magic the Ringmaster uses.

Oh, my, that's certainly... [TERRIFYING] um, interesting!

Black magic, though? That sounds dangerous.

Most people think so. At least where I'm from, it isn't viewed as respectable sort of magic. [ and yet he totally did it that one time. ]

As such, I only have a faint idea of what it can do.

Would that mean that bringing the dead back to life isn't very respectable as well?

It depends. At least in my world, there are also ways to bring back the dead via what's considered proper English magic--my former mentor revived someone that way.

[ he just didn't list that cause he can't do it ]

['Proper' magic sounds a little better than 'black' magic, at least.]

Does it happen often? What does the person who died think when they wake up again?

[Shudder.] It's giving me the chills just thinking about it!

You know, I never really asked her what she thought about the matter.

[ because the person brought back from the dead was a lady and 1800s patriarchy sucks! ]

But no, it doesn't happen often. Back in my world, I only know of one person who was successfully raised from the dead.
