[ Now that a day's gone by with nobody trying to put a hit on the Ringmaster, it's the PERFECT time to ask his creepy questions. ]

How many of you have died before, whether on your world or at the Carnival? You don't have to answer if you don't want to, I understand this might be a sore subject for some.

And if you have died, how were you brought back to life? Please try to be as detailed in your answer as possible.

I did manage to raise the dead back home—specifically a small group of Neapolitan soldiers raised through black magic. The results were...mixed. The poor souls were brought back from the dead, but their bodies were rotted corpses, and their souls were wrenched from hell. I couldn't find a way to send them back either.

Needless to say, I won't attempt that method in the Carnival. But I know a cleaner method exists. A former friend of mine used it to bring a dead woman back to life—he just never told me how he did it. My deal with the Ringmaster will let me find out how.

Curiosity, I suppose. After all, I've no idea how he did it in the first place. If a different world has a method that's more effective then why not use that?

What I'm trying to say is it's pointless to find out early since you can't do anything yet anyway.

But again, I'd know about my options. Is it really so hard for you to grasp that I might be interested in learning something even if I can't do it yet?

I mean. Yes? It's pointless to learn something if you can't use that knowledge for something.

I'm afraid we'll have to agree to disagree on that. I find learning for learning's sake to be just as valuable as learning so one could actually do something.

To be honest, I've more free time than I would like.
