[ Now that a day's gone by with nobody trying to put a hit on the Ringmaster, it's the PERFECT time to ask his creepy questions. ]

How many of you have died before, whether on your world or at the Carnival? You don't have to answer if you don't want to, I understand this might be a sore subject for some.

And if you have died, how were you brought back to life? Please try to be as detailed in your answer as possible.

I hope it wasn't Patience. I've never had the mindset for that game.

Patience is easier compared to Duel Monsters to be quite honest.

In that case, how does one play Duel Monsters?

[toogoodtoopure]

Well it's complicated. First you have your monster cards, then your trap and spell cards to either back them up or hinder your opponent's monsters. The objective is to whittle your opponent's life points down to zero to win.

[He takes a breath, then continues.]

Players draw a new card each turn and start out with six, though there are cards that can let you draw two more, like Pot of Greed. That's a spell card. Monsters can also come with special effects that work sort of like a trap or spell card.

I think this would be one of those things where I'd need to see it in action in order to fully understand it.

[ After all, he IS genuinely interested in how this Duel Monsters thing works, especially since the more Yugi talks about it, the more Strange realizes huh, this isn't like any sort of card game he knows. ]

After all, the more the merrier when it comes to card games!

Maybe if we ever stop by home I can stock up. I've only got enough for a couple of decks.

So it takes a special type of cards, then? Because I'm certain we could make our own playing cards if needs must.

Well, Carly-san and Gongenzaka-san have the same type of cards, but then again Carly-san comes from my dimension, but thirty or so years ahead of me. I'm not sure about Gongenzaka-san.

[He hums.]

I don't see why making our own cards wouldn't hurt. It's not like they weren't copied from Ancient Egyptian magic after all.

[ hell yeah, arts and crafts. ]

I've got paper and pencil in my trailer, I'd be willing to use some of that to help make cards.
