If you are in need of something being collected for you that the carnival is currently unable to provide, submit a request through your supervisor.

If you are lacking in one, we can work something else out. [ And here, there's a pause. A very, very short one, but one nonetheless. ] Assuming, of course, that you aren't a blatant troublemaker or asking for anything ridiculous.

All of which are useful for the nightrunners, I assume. I may be limited by what world we're in at the time, but I'll see what I can do. What do you use as substitutes, though?

Animal parts, mostly. They bind and stabilize formulas as well as anything else, but it'll either take longer to work or it'll be half as potent. Anyway, I can write up a list.

Mm, a list would be useful. Assuming we do come across monsters, just be aware I won't be making my people kill them should they still be alive and attached to those parts.

[ But a good thing for Lambert, at least two of them are prone to violence anyway, something Childermass may or may not find out sooner than later. ]

Oh, if it was just hunting them, I could do that myself.

[ Like, as he's amply demonstrated. Childermass continues to lead a charmed life. ]

Well, this place has a museum full of crap people brought back over the years, and apparently there's all kinds of shit on that island. If you're trading, though, here's a tip: they think a decent coat's better than a busted phone.

Lambert. [ It's quiet, but audible, a scolding female voice that isn't Lambert's yet can't be mistaken for anything else. ] You know that's not what he meant.

I suspect that island won't have much in the way of monster parts, even with that portal.

[ And thank God for that daemon, she sounds more sensible than Lambert himself (which is a terrible thing to think, seeing as he's still ignoring his own as much as humanly possible). ]

Perhaps I should be asking your good daemon instead of you. She sounds to be the sharper of the two.

You should, because I am. [ Yeah she sounds super smug, and she's going to take that compliment and ham it up for Childermass whether Lambert likes it or not. ]
