Nnno. See, a lich is what happens when a magic-user combines their soul with their magic, right? Making them pretty much pure magic and no meat. The Umbra Staff swallows up the magic power of whatever magic users are killed near it.

[He honestly didn't know much more about liches than that they were undead, given his brother's attitude towards them, so that's news to him. But either way, at least that... Kind of explains things?]

So... She was just magic, and then, the umbrella sucked her up? But... Now she's okay. [Is that right??]

Got it in one. Or, well, she's still undead, and her body is, well... it's gone, but at least she's around in some capacity now, instead of being cooped up in a magic umbrella.

Nnnno, I kind of had to break it to let her out of there, so it's done for, but I have something even more dope now, so it's whatever. Lup... didn't come back here with me, so as far as I know, she's still back home.

Just... My brother doesn't like undead that much. He's a druid. [Which is of course the easy excuse for not liking undead, the longer (and probably better) one being too personal for Lauren to want it shared... Not like that's stopped Susan before, but if the shorter answer can work, then that's the one he's going with.]

[And besides, that lets him change topics to hear about the magic glaive.]

What can it do? Is it really strong?

Oh, is that so! Well. Luckily for him, Lup isn't here right now, so... no worries there.

Hell yeah it is. It's stronger than the umbrella was, and I don't look like a complete doofus while wielding it!

I dunno though, you might look cooler, but it must be kind of cool to beat all the bad guys with a weapon they don't even expect to do much, right?

... well, it's a little late for me to start appreciating the Umbra Staff properly now, given it's totally destroyed and all that, but you do have a point there.

I'm sure you'll get yourself a pretty sick-looking casting device of your own someday. Is there anything in particular you've got your eye on?

I don't know... Maybe a staff, like my brother. But it'd be way cooler, it would have to have jewels on it or something fancy like that.

That sounds fresh as hell. Casting with a fancy bejeweled scepter of a staff... now I feel bad that I didn't think of that when I made this thing.
