What's stopping anyone from just up and leaving this ridiculous place?

Yes. Well, I mean, I'm not doing the murders, obviously. I like solving them.

Oh, that makes more sense. It'd be kind of weird to like murdering people, I think, unless you were a bad guy.

I do know someone that does, or did, anyway. He's not someone you ever want to meet.

It's okay, I've met people who like that before, and who like doing other bad things, and we always stop them.
