[Moments like these highlight just how little he and Taako talk about themselves. Which is to say, not at all. Taako knows more about Foster than Foster himself would prefer, but that was the... result... of Portland, and can't be changed now.

All he knows (or at least remembers) about Taako is that Taako has a twin sister, who he forgot and then remembered again.]

Yeah, that's just kind of an elf thing. Most of us grow up learning archery and that sort of thing.

[Taako can't honestly remember who taught him how to fire an arrow, or wield a sword; some family member after he and Lup had been dumped on them, or maybe a foster parent or some warrior on the road. Either way, he's known how to wield them as long as he can remember, and that's a pretty long ways, considering his age.]
