"With the power of the Silver Mirror, the Nephalem Lilith was able to create a realm according to their desires - a realm where the Beasts could devise the Soul that would lead them, and build a perfect world. While the rest of the multiverse spiraled into Chaos, Lilith aspired towards Perfection."

[ It had taken a bit to scour the book for any other bit of information once he'd gotten it back from one of the stupidest book specters he had to misfortune of running into but now that he has, here he is, reading the first bit over the radio.

Following that, he adds, asking,

Has anyone else found something regarding a mirror? I believe this may be one of the miracles but confirmation would be nice to have.

I can only suppose it's the child of an angel and a demon... but I can't say I know much about either of those races, much less someone who's a mix of both.

Whatever they're like, they probably won't let us in, even with a pretense... especially since it sounds like humans aren't welcome.

But not all of us are human. [Most, though, he'll grant that.] Though she does not sound very fond of humans. I wonder why?

That's true... Maybe there are some of us who wouldn't be driven away.

If it's "perfection" they want, maybe it's human flaws that are the problem... but if that's the case, I'm not sure how many other races would meet those kinds of standards.

I cannot think of any... but I suppose that depends what Lilith considers a flaw, doesn't it?

[The Ringmaster is right, that is an arbitrary scale.] Perhaps they are the opposite of the Prince.

Ugh... I suppose that's possible.

Whatever the measure, it definitely has something to do with light and darkness. Actually, there was something else in this book about that... [There's the sound of pages turning.]

"All life was born of both Light and Darkness, and the Mirror alone could see its true measure."

Light and Darkness, hm? That isn't quite a match for Creation and Void. [So is it a new concept, or a subset of it?]

Mm. [There's a vague, affirmative noise.]

I read a bit on this topic recently. Creation and Void embody existence and nothingness, specifically, while Light and Darkness... they're probably the sorts of qualities embodied by angels and demons. Order and chaos, purity and corruption, truth and deceit... That sort of thing.

This book mentioned that fae and humans embody both elements... but in "fickle and unpredictable" ways. Maybe that's the sort of flaw that Lilith takes issue with.

[That's right, he remembers those from Foster's notes. Or at least, he recognizes the idea. That's probably what most people would consider 'good' and 'evil', wouldn't it.]

I think you could say the same of any people. That is the consequence of having free will... how successful was Lilith?

I don't know... the version of events I have ends right around when Lilith got hold of the Mirror.

But... it said Lilith's goal was to create a people "fit to rule the multiverse." If they succeeded in full, we'd probably know it already. [Because they'd be taking those perfect creations and waging war against the other races, most likely.]
