[ It had taken a bit to scour the book for any other bit of information once he'd gotten it back from one of the stupidest book specters he had to misfortune of running into but now that he has, here he is, reading the first bit over the radio.

Following that, he adds, asking, ]

Has anyone else found something regarding a mirror? I believe this may be one of the miracles but confirmation would be nice to have.

The Silver Mirror... wait, one of the books I grabbed has that title! Give me a minute...

[There's already the sound of pages shuffling and covers thudding against the floor as Rita digs it out of what's apparently a sizable pile of books she's accumulated for reading. She turns the radio off for a few minutes to look through it, but returns to it before long.]

Here it is. "The Court of Sun and the Court of Shade worked in harmony and their influence planted the seeds from which the first worlds grew..."

[That's their clue. But since the rest of the passage is long and flowery, Rita opts to summarize it.]

... It says the Mirror can bend the light in the hearts of those who look into it... cleansing them of darkness, or corrupting them... The races of angels and demons tried to claim it, but it looks like this 'Lilith' got to it first.

Perhaps an odd question, but how many of those nouns are capitalized?

I've noticed a few quirks about the Scribe's writing.

So it is a Miracle. Good. The book mentions what the realm Lilith created as well, though...

[ There's a pause. It isn't really uncomfortable or awkward, just... there. He had to reread this more than a few times to digest the fact that apparently— ]

It is Eden. Full of intelligent beasts. Not exactly the way I've ever heard it described but there it is.

Well, obviously the Silver Mirror and the Nephalem Lilith are capitalized. Beast, Soul, Chaos, and Perfection, just in that paragraph. I have more to it, I've just not read it over the radio yet.

Hm, interesting. I only ask because I've noted that the Scribe only seems to capitalize general concepts like that when it is referring to primordial aspects of the universe. Much like how the Creation and Void we encountered would be considered the Capital Letter versions of themselves.

Which means this could be promising, as opposed to just an excessive writing flourish.

Well, well. It's been a long time since anyone called the Courts by those names.

The Beasts do refer to a people that Lilith brought to the realm they created, so I can see why that would be capitalized, though Perfection as a primordial aspect seems strange to me. Is it simply the opposite of Chaos? Otherwise, I cannot believe it exists.

That's something I was wondering as well. There traditional opposite to Chaos is Order, which isn't the same thing as Perfection. Perfection is more of an abstract concept than a thing that actually exists in elemental form. So, seeing it written alongside them is a bit odd.

So it's not just a metaphor... Those used to be the names of the Summer and Winter courts?

If yours and Rita's mirror is the same one I read about, the mirror used to belong to the Winter Queen.

I've no idea how it got from her to Lilith, however. What I've found just said it went missing.

Basically? It's paradise.

God created a paradise by the name of Eden and created the first man and the first woman there. Admittedly, there was a talking serpent as well, but this book only mentions the Beasts, no men.

And all I've found is what Lilith did with it after it came into their possession. Seems like it can create realms, only I suspect the Blue Rose can as well.

[ Maybe all the Miracles can. Who knows for sure? The Queens, probably. ]

"The Realm was called Eden, a paradise where Mankind was considered anathema. The Beasts of the land were given will and the power to make their own reality, instructed to create their perfect world, and their perfect Master. Lilith left them to their works."

[ He reads off the next passage in the excerpt, as if that might reveal anything. It only really reveals the point of Lilith's theft, though he does add, ]

The 'perfect Master' seems to be the problem they have, however, rather than being thrown out for eating the wrong apple off the wrong tree.

Could it be because Lilith isn't seeking Order, but Perfection? That seems to be the problem they keep running into with their realm.

God's Eden. [He breathes out in a mock before barking laughter ensues. How he would love to wreck such an unnatural place.]

But that is interesting given the book only mentions the Beasts when often Eden is the very essence of man's eventual folly.

[Syrlya's definitely listening in on everyone's information about the mirror. It seems more than likely it's one of their miracles--so there is something worthwhile in this trip. Good.]

It must be Sun and Shade. I wonder if these 'Beasts' are people who are not human-like in their form or... actually just animals.

[They're probably too intelligent for the latter, right?] I am not familiar with Nephalem. Who are they?

[The first man and woman...? What's with all these texts and their references to the origins of life?]

Where did you hear about all that?

[Evidently, Rita knows basically nothing about the religions of Earth.]

Did they name every miracle after their courts, or was this one special?

[A pause.] Why did they change the titles of their courts in the first place?

The Nephalem... The book I read said they're "beings of both Holy and Hellish blood."

[chronosynthesis]

I wish I could say that was more explanatory... [Those are concepts he recognizes, but not in the way that a person would have the blood of them.] Regardless, it isn't in the hands of any of the Fae. And it sounds like she is keeping the mirror to herself much like the Prince did.

I suppose all of those carrying them are being quite defensive with them. We need a way into her realm.

Yes, God's Eden... Lilith created this version for Beasts alone. There are no men. "A paradise where Mankind was considered anathema" is what it claims.

It's a story anyone from England should be able to tell you. It's from our own religion.

[ He could specify 'Bible' and 'Christianity' and what have you, but Rita isn't from any variant of Earth. It would all be nonsense to her. ]

Angels. [ That's his initial answer, though there's a pause, a moment to consider, and then, ] Or so I would guess, though I am no expert on that. If Ms. Mordio says they have both Holy and Hellish blood, perhaps they are something in between.

Perhaps it is one of those concepts that is... 'reflected' and changed throughout worlds. [Something that's more evident now that he's compared 3 different Wyld Hunts, among other coincidences.]

What else did the book tell you about Lilith and her realm?

I can only suppose it's the child of an angel and a demon... but I can't say I know much about either of those races, much less someone who's a mix of both.

Whatever they're like, they probably won't let us in, even with a pretense... especially since it sounds like humans aren't welcome.
