Hot springs!

I overheard someone who was saying there were these smaller islands with hot springs where they could leave eggs.

What? I've never heard of this... How does that not just boil or drown the egg?

No idea! I think the pelago's some kind of established-trainers-only kind of thing. They probably have somewhere warm to put them, and the humidity helps.

[No they literally just leave eggs in hot water and they hatch. Pokemon!]

Hmmm... Interesting. If I remember correctly, we do have some hot springs here within the bounds of the carnival. Whether or not those would work just as well, though... Ehhgh. There's no good way of knowing for certain...

We do, but I don't think Pig will let someone take her egg, if she's protecting it even from her trainer. There's other Pokemon around, too, of course...

[Scout didn't actually pay quite as much attention to egg groups as she could have, there had been so much else going on!]

Togetic is... flying and fairy? We should make charts.

Ones that share egg groups? This kind of thing shouldn't have to be a surprise, at least not after the first time.

Oh, that. I didn't get around to learning much about those, but I'm pretty sure the compatible groups aren't just based on type alone.

[Peridot is evidently not aware that "fairy" and "flying" are literally the names of the egg groups.]

Some of them are. Or there's some correlation, anyway. I know there's one for dragons. Never did understand what made 'dragon' a 'type.'
