[ rhys is usually pretty good with electronics but it takes him a little bit of time to figure out how to work this thing. it used to be so much easier. hyperion was a lot of things but technologically deficient it was not. ]

So, I gather things are still going on. Or maybe they're winding down? I can't tell because I've been stuck here the whole time.

[ he was still hanging out at the carnival, staying out of things because this was all a little too much for a guy who still considered him new. ]

...Anyway. Making stories just means making stories. Like saying 'The maze was big, and tall! But anyone who was friends with the Ringmaster could come through easy!'. You don't have to make a knife from something real.

Uh, I was...protecting something that a bad guy wanted.

[ that wasn't necessarily a lie. both vasquez and august wanted gortys and were willing to kill him to get it. it just so happened that he'd stolen gortys before them so he was kind of in the wrong. ]

These two douchebags were trying to get some really powerful technology and I stopped them.

So, they thought they'd point their guns at me and threaten me. And then there were some killer robots too. It was just a chaotic time.

Ohh... [She's not making a comment on 'bad guy', since she's sort of used that term vaguely for half the visit at this place. It's pretty easy to use trope terms when you've done nothing but read the entire time.

It was the best possible option for me. It was the way I could get what I wanted while still being safe and making sure everyone else was safe.

[ very noble. much more noble than anything rhys had done despite what he'd said. he probably would have tried to save sasha and fiona if he was in the right mood but, unless your name was vaughn, the only person rhys would try and save was himself. ]
