Like medicine and herbs! For uh... poisoning evil demons and curing demonic diseases and things! Doctor meister stuff. Definitely not my strong suit.

Sounds hard.

Were you fighting demons a lot?

Yeah! My brother and I are Exorcists! [well. Yukio is an Exorcist. Rin is still in training]

Like in that scary movie? Do people spin their heads around?

There's a movie?! Ah-- no, I've never seen anyone spin their head around. It's actually pretty rare for humans to be possessed by demons. Mostly they possess animals and objects...

Why would they possess those things?

They're easier to possess! Humans have a lot of willpower. You need a very strong demon to overcome that... or trick them. Animals and plants and objects obviously don't have that problem.

In the movies, demons always possess humans. But that sounds less scary...

I guess 'cause that's more dramatic...

Yeah. If a plant's possessed you can just not water it.

Well, possessed plants can be nasty, too! My friend Shiemi was being bothered by a plant demon... it had roots in her and was trying to control her...

So they can still hurt people...

Yeah... for sure. Just cause they aren't directly possessing a human doesn't mean they aren't dangerous.

But if a demon shows up here, you can fight it?

[What do exorcists even do? Tamaki thinks it involves waving crosses and holy water around.]

.... except water demons. Those are kind of hard for me. 'Cause I'm fire.

Kyahaha! Exactly like Pokémon!! But the elemental table is less complicated for demons... Fire beats Rot, Rot beats Air, Air beats Earth, Earth beats Water, and Water beats Fire!

.... Wow, I can't believe I remembered that...!

Rot?

[That's not an element he's ever heard of.]

Rot!! I guess... using the Pokémon types, it'd be closest to Poison? Maybe Ghost? Rot type demons tend to be undead, like Ghouls... or pollution, like Coal Tars. There was a big nasty demon called the Impure King that could make people real sick with its miasma. Those are Rot demons.

Those sound like the worst demons...

They're pretty awful... and they always smell really bad!
