This is…Herbert West: a contributor to the recent cure as you may recall as well as…your new Doctor. [He pauses to let that sink in, sounding really smug about it.] The Medical Team is still, small but as more experienced members join it has become more…evident that we do not have the resources we need to properly, treat the Carnival staff.
Namely: up to date medical documentation on you all—now, I made do before with what I had, during the process of constructing the cure but those involved may recall being asked various questions, questions which would have been unnecessary had the previous department been keeping your notes on file. Perhaps medical files aren’t required by, magical zebras but they are required by. Me. It is considerably easier for everyone when all previous knowledge doesn’t leave with the former physician—I’m sure you can agree. [He’s trying his best to sound congenial, definitely, but it mostly comes off as stilted as usual…maybe it counts that he’s trying?]
Today and tomorrow, myself and Mr Okumura will be available to perform physical examinations; any additional medical history you can provide is, welcome, and if you would prefer to attend on an alternate date, contact me to arrange a time.
[And then because so many people here are damned word weasels:] I have to insist all of you show up. Even if you’re healthy. Especially, if you’re healthy to give us an idea of your baseline state but we will, of course, treat any issues you have. Understand, it’s for the good of the Carnival and everyone’s…future well-being.
[ooc: Make sure to help me out by posting anything you think of to the med tent info post. Also, Herbert is almost literally always in the med tent during daytime hours but let us know if you have an ooc preference for checkups.]

Of course. Would you be willing to provide me with your name so I can record your refusal? It will make things easier in an emergency if we know who has information on file and who does not.

It's important to...have regular, checkups. Especially in a place as intermittently dangerous as the Carnival.

Kinda awkward!

I have no say in hiring or, rest assured we would have more staff overall. You worked on the cure with me--do you have medical training or experience?

You sound so stiff. Try to relax. Here, let me help:
Hello, my dear carnival family. I have humbly accepted the position of your new Doctor, Herbert West. Because I care about the state of your well being I would highly appreciate it if you would all come in for a check up. I understand a lot of you are wary given my stiff attitude, my inexperience at talking to people like they are actual human beings, and the fact I never change my clothes. It only shows how dedicated I am to my work.
Thank you, with love, Your Doctor~♥

YUKIO | ACTION
She comes into the tent somewhat shyly, followed by an eagle almost her size-certainly not a difficult feat, given that she herself is a good four inches under four foot. As she comes in, she peers about, eyes wide and curious. The tent is different from last she saw it, and thus the somewhat rockskinned girl is distracted.
She came for a reason though-and no doubt she'll be reminded of that soon.]

So he just smiles at both figures coming through the flap of the tent door, and puts down the braid of garlic he's tangling together.]

IN-PERSON
[Mari shows up... on her own time, really. She doesn't hurry, that's for sure. In fact, by the time she comes around, Yukio might or might not have gone home. It depends on what kind of sleep schedule he keeps.
Her lack of urgency isn't entirely without cause, though.
She is, after all, a vampire.]
Helllooooo~!
[She stops a bit shy of singing the two syllable word, but she isn't keeping it short.]
no subject
That voice is familiar, and Yukio turns and rises with a (polite, polite) smile.]
Hello, I'm Okumura. [He's not even giving her his given name, she seems like the sort to just pounce on it, and there's only one girl who's allowed to call him "Yuki-chan".]

Somewhere in the medical tent, slipped in one of the books or files that either Herbert or Yukio are looking at, is a note written in slightly childish handwriting. ]
This is about Cole.
I am a spirit.
I don't eat or sleep or drink. I don't think I can get sick either.
I can get hurt. I'll see you if that happens.
If something else happens, ask Solas.
If Solas isn't here, then I don't know what to do. And neither will you.
I hope this helps.
[ Cole himself can't be seen when he drops off the note because he's a cheat who makes himself invisible. ]

Hello. This is Okumura Yukio, one of the medics.
I have some experience dealing with and treating spirits.
If Solas is not here and you need a medic, please come find me.

[aka no shit to anyone who has seen him walk around at all]
